Super Hero’s :
I found this poem in a book I purchased for my 4-year-old and I thought what a great way to portray a super hero.
As a mother, there are many times I’m sure we all feel like wonder woman. Whether it may be multi-tasking, work, house chores, errands, taking care of children etc.. Growing up, my mom was a single mother of four, so she had to play the father role as well…fixing things around the house as well as the maternal duties. She is a perfect example as a superhero, wonder woman.
Can you relate to feeling like a superhero? Or do you know of someone you would consider to be YOUR superhero?

The other day I was people watching out of my apartment window, and I noticed this elder couple most likely in their 80′s holding hands and laughing together. It put the biggest smile on my face. I love seeing happy couples especially when they still seem to be so in love after probably celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Whats the meaning of holding hands? What does it symbolize? How do you feel when holding hands with someone?..comforted? compassionate? security?
Holding hands is a form of physical intimacy involving two or more people. It may or may not be romantic and there are many different reasons for holding hands…
Some people say that the way you hold hands symbolizes different things, such as, if your fingers are intertwined and locked that would show signs of a relationship or intimacy. If you hold someones hand palm to palm, that shows signs of guidance and support. I know that when my son holds my hand I feel the most comforted and whole. When he was a baby he would hold onto my pinkie and I felt the same way.
Some of you may disagree and not like public affection or you may be the type of person that feels most comforted by kind words instead of holding hands or any other affection. About a week and 1/2 ago someone who is very close to us received a phone call with news that will now change her life forever. She received information that her boyfriend was in a very bad car accident and was flown to the hospital. He is now in critical condition and every little movement or sound he makes is progress. Our friend informed us that the doctors said the it will be a long journey towards recovery. As she was sitting by his bedside at the hospital, holding his hand, she felt her boyfriend squeeze her hand, and to many of us that may seem like no big deal, but to her, that meant the world. We’re sharing this story with you today, to remind you that life is full of surprises. One day, as you leave for work and kiss your loved one, child, or friend goodbye, you never know what could happen the next minute. Please keep Kyle,Casey and family members in your prayers as they go through this life changing experience. If you have a familiar story and feel comfortable enough to share, please do.

I find that I appreciate “words of affirmation” the most. A simple card that expresses love, thanks, compassion is when I feel the most loved. I actually save every card that anyone has ever written to me. ~ Paula Danielle I would have to say that my love language is “quality time”. I find happiness in being in the presence of my loved ones. It can be as simple as just watching a movie or driving to the store together.~Ashley What do you think your love language is?
